About Us

For more than two decades, we’ve obtained remarkable results with an overlooked and underserved population. Today, Jovenes is a nimble, efficient, effective non-profit organization, increasingly recognized for turning potential high-risk liabilities into community assets. With your support, we will continue to seek new opportunities to foster the stability of our at-risk youth.

At Jovenes, we believe that homelessness is just an experience- not a life-long condition. We fully believe that our youth are able to lead independent and productive lives, and we strive to provide the support, guidance, and trust that empowers them to succeed.

Jovenes sees a future where we are the preeminent non-profit agency in our field setting the benchmark for successful transitions from homelessness to successful living; a place where homeless youth in East LA & Boyle Heights will always have a home.

We will continue to innovate and create new and better programs to enhance opportunities for youth who are now living day-to-day. We plan to expand our continuum of care to include more community services.

We intend to expand our housing options and the number of beds within our community and then build beyond the East LA/Boyle Heights neighborhoods to other regions of Southern California.

We want to expand our outreach and partnership with businesses and community leaders. We hope to create a non-profit model that will be recognized and duplicated in other cities and regions.
