The Jovenes, Inc. Continuum of Care provides housing and supportive services to over 120 youth between the ages of 18-24 annually. For youth who are experiencing homelessness, having a safe and stable place to live is critical to their ability to achieve long-term goals and permanently leave the streets behind.
Our continuum consists of multiple levels of housing programs that are geared towards helping youth transition into independent adulthood over time. Jovenes has one 90-day Emergency Shelter for male youth which provides intervention, case management, and employment counseling that help youth break the immediate cycle of homelessness. Our Transitional Housing Program offers our youth who are employed or in school with the support, security and stability that empowers them to achieve their personal goals and learn to live independently over a longer period of time.
Jovenes, Inc. is currently developing an additional component, Permanent Supportive Housing, both on our campus and throughout our community. One of the main challenges facing youth who are leaving behind homelessness is accessing affordable housing where they can continue their growth. Permanent Supportive Housing allows youth to begin paying an affordable rent, remain engaged with our supportive services, and advance their education and careers.
