Our Housing

At Jovenes, we offer a powerful formula of stable housing options, social services and employment support that creates opportunities for personal growth and charts a permanent path to a productive life. This is called a Continuum of Care, and it facilitates a process for youth to exit the streets and move into permanent housing as fast as possible. Our goal is personal self-sufficiency and permanent solutions to end the cycle of homelessness. Our programs result in remarkable outcomes by helping each client build personal habits of self-sufficient living. We do it goal-by-goal, achievement by achievement, paycheck by paycheck.

Jovenes currently has 64 units of housing in our Continuum of Care, and we are continuing to develop additional opportunities for our youth. The only way to end homelessness is through housing.

Short Term Housing

Our 12 bed emergency shelter is the entrance point into Jovenes' Continuum of Care. Youth are able to stay here up to 90 days as they create and implement their individual plans, form relationships with our staff, and conduct daily activities like job searches, access healthcare enrollment & benefits, and stabilize. Progress evaluations are performed every 30 days to determine clients eligibility for emergency shelter. Our eight bed transitional housing program provides youth with up to 8 months of housing. Youth enrolled in transitional housing are typically going to school or work on a daily basis.

Permanent Housing

The only way to end homelessness is through permanent housing. Jovenes continues to invest and create more permanent housing opportunities that enable our youth to move into their own apartments, continue receiving supportive services, and move their lives forward.
